Aixeta on the march! On the road and increasing gradually
Last week we went on the road with three stops around Catalonia, in order to explain how Aixeta works and how it can help to promote culture and creativity in this country. Going on tour is also a way to meet with associations and organizations, and for creators to ask us questions in person. We can all join together in collective brainstorming and improvements. We went to Tarragona, Lleida and Girona, three capital cities in the center three incredibly rich creative areas.
We will soon be holding information sessions in Barcelona—both to general audiences (note down 11th February, in the evening, at Lluïsos de Gràcia) and by artistic specialty (musicians, writers, illustrators, etc.) as well as, among others, Terrassa, Tortosa, Vic, Mataró, Sabadell and more. We are also gradually increasing the presence of Aixeta in the media, in print, digital and audiovisual media.
What about patrons, you may be wondering. They will also increase gradually. As the platform becomes better known and you creators share your own pages with your own followers, more and more potential patrons will come to your page and to the pages of your fellow creators on Aixeta. Keep in mind that ‘continuous crowdfunding” is a pretty new concept in Europe. We’ve gotten used to making a contribution to a project on one of the traditional crowdfunding sites. But do you remember five years ago? Since everything was new—Verkami is only seven years old—a cultural shift was necessary, just like we’ll need to get people used to this new system of subscription crowdfunding with small monthly contributions becomes normal. All of us together can create this community. And to make it possible, we need everyone to reach out to their own people and invite them to come and look at your page, and so create a joint community which will generate more patrons for everyone.
While we were on the road, we spoke with Tarragona Ràdio, UA1FM o Lleida TV and got profiled by Valentí Acconcia and Xarxanet.
Are you already following us on social media? We are @AixetaInfo on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram? If you mention us when you publish new items on Aixeta, we’ll share them too. Count on us, we’re there to expand your reach and get to new audiences and new patrons!
